RAF Woodbridge: USAF Personnel Encounter Triangular UFO

Background
During the early morning hours of December 27, 1980, at approximately 3:00 AM local time, two United States Air Force security police officers stationed at RAF Woodbridge observed unusual lights beyond the base's rear gate. Suspecting a possible aircraft crash, they requested and received permission to investigate beyond the perimeter. The patrolmen reported encountering a strange glowing object within the forest. The craft appeared metallic and triangular, measuring roughly two to three meters at its base and approximately two meters in height. It emitted intense white light that illuminated the surrounding woodland. The object featured a pulsating red beacon on its upper section and blue lights arranged in banks beneath. The craft either hovered or rested on supports. As the security team approached, the object navigated through the trees and vanished from sight. Shortly thereafter, animals at a nearby farm exhibited agitated behavior. Approximately one hour later, the object was briefly sighted again near the back gate.
