The Incident
At approximately 8 PM on March 21, 1984, a mother and daughter were driving south along Perry Road in Claxton, Georgia. They noticed an unusual light through the trees. As they crested a hill, they observed three boomerang-shaped objects hovering above a field.
The objects consisted of one large craft and two smaller ones. Each object featured two large lights in the center. They also had rows of small, multi-colored lights that blinked in rapid sequence.
Initially curious, the witnesses became terrified when one of the objects began to move. The large object flew silently over their car. The mother, physically shaking, drove while her daughter cautioned her not to crash.
Investigation
The mother, who held an executive position with a prominent firm, approached the media only on condition of anonymity. MUFON investigator Shirley Coyne learned of twelve people who saw lights during these two nights, but only three would give her a report. Most avoided getting involved, and only spoke to her because she knew them.
