Calvine Incident: Diamond-Shaped UFO Photographed Near RAF Pitlochry
Two hikers photographed a large diamond-shaped object hovering for ten minutes near Calvine; the images were classified by the MoD for 30 years.
Background
On August 4, 1990, two hikers near the village of Calvine in the Scottish Highlands observed a large diamond or rhomboid-shaped object hovering silently in clear daylight for approximately ten minutes. They captured the event in six photographs, including one showing a Harrier-type military jet nearby.

- Photographs classified and withheld from public for over 30 years
Release and Revelation When the MoD file was released, the original photographs were missing.
