Lazar's credentials are disputed
Background
Journalists and skeptics - notably Stanton Friedman - check Lazar's résumé: MIT and Caltech have no record of his studies. Los Alamos confirms only his role as a technician for an external contractor. Lazar claims this is part of the cover-up - records were removed from university archives. A 1982 Los Alamos phone directory listing Lazar next to well-known physicists is later cited as partial evidence, but does not settle the MIT/Caltech dispute.
