Bridgeport, CT: Brothers observe stingray UFO, 6 hours missing time

Two brothers reported observing a dark, stingray-shaped aerial object hovering over a funeral home in Bridgeport, Connecticut, in June 1990. The massive craft, estimated at two football fields in size, reportedly caused a six-hour period of missing time during the witnesses' attempt to follow it. The investigator noted possible hoax concerns due to the witness's lack of response to follow-up inquiries.

Background

On the morning of June 18, 1990, shortly before sunrise, two brothers witnessed an unusual aerial phenomenon while sitting in a vehicle at a residence on Milne Street in Bridgeport, Connecticut. One of the witnesses exited the car and heard an unfamiliar sound, prompting him to scan the surroundings. Looking toward Spaterchenos Funeral Home, he observed a massive, stingray-shaped craft hovering approximately ten feet above the building.

The dark-colored object appeared enormous, with the witness estimating its size as equivalent to two football fields. It remained stationary for roughly fifteen seconds, displaying dark square-shaped openings on either side of its body. The craft lacked a tail typical of an actual stingray. After calling his brother to observe the phenomenon, both witnesses watched as the object began moving away from the funeral home.

The brothers attempted to pursue the craft in their vehicle, following it toward the Connecticut Sound. They maintained visual contact until reaching the waterfront area, though neither could recall exactly when the object disappeared from view. Despite the journey to the sound taking approximately ten minutes, the witnesses reported arriving home six hours later, creating an unexplained temporal gap that remained unresolved.

An investigator documented the case in 2007 based on the witness's detailed account. However, subsequent attempts to contact the witness for additional questions were unsuccessful, leading the investigator to suggest the possibility of a fabricated report. The case was published through TheBlackVault.com as part of their UFO sighting database. Via TheBlackVault.com (Witness Report).
