Faribault: Cylindrical Object with Multiple Witnesses

Sighting Details On April 2, 1991 at 7:00 p.m., multiple residents of Faribault, Minnesota reported an unusual aerial object. The craft appeared cylindrical in shape, well-lit, and either hovered or moved slowly through the sky.

Witness Accounts Dick Feichtinger, a local theater owner, was the first to observe the object while driving. He described it as a vertical, oblong shape that was white and glowing. Upon reaching home, Feichtinger called his family outside to witness the phenomenon. He subsequently observed the object again, now displaying flashing red and green lights. Multiple neighbors were alerted and also observed the craft, reporting that it changed colors and moved as if under intelligent control.

Military Activity Around the same time, two large military aircraft flew unusually low in close formation. One aircraft briefly illuminated what appeared to be floodlights. The Air National Guard confirmed that two C-130 transport planes were conducting routine training operations in the Faribault area, though the pilots reported observing no unusual lights.
