Background
In November 1993, a lone hunter positioned in a tree stand at Fort McCoy Wildlife Management Area, Florida, witnessed an anomalous event approximately 45 minutes before sunrise. In complete darkness, he observed three small, white, round lights flickering and moving laterally in what appeared to be an intelligent manner. After watching for an estimated couple of minutes, he experienced a sudden time gap of roughly two hours, finding himself still in the tree stand after sunrise with no recollection of the intervening period.
Following the encounter, the witness developed significant health issues approximately two weeks later, including double vision that eventually cleared. He also began experiencing recurring nightmares involving sensations of being forcibly removed from his body. The incident profoundly affected his psychological wellbeing, and he noted that his dog later exhibited unusual behavior of staring upward at the sky, which he associated with the event.
The case was investigated over a decade later, with the investigator noting similarities to typical missing time scenarios often associated with abduction experiences, despite no craft being observed. The solitary nature of the observation precludes independent corroboration of the experience.
