Boeing 737 near-miss with illuminated UFO at Manchester Airport in 1995, no explanation found by UK Civil Aviation Authority.
Background
On January 6, 1995, a Boeing 737 on approach to Manchester Airport experienced a near-miss with an unidentified illuminated object. Both pilots saw the object pass very close to the aircraft. An investigation by the UK Civil Aviation Authority found no explanation. Nick Pope cited this as one of the most significant UK aviation safety cases involving a UFO.
