Manchester, IN: Teen motorist encounters tall thin humanoid figure
A 17-year-old driver reported seeing a tall, thin humanoid figure crouching near a puddle on North Hogan Road. The entity, estimated at 6'7" with protruding joints, stood up and walked toward the woods. An elderly couple in a second car later confirmed observing the same unusual figure.
Background
On the evening of January 24, 2004, a high school senior from Manchester, Indiana, was driving southbound on North Hogan Road in his Chevrolet Cavalier around 7:30 p.m. when he spotted a figure crouched near a puddle in his headlights.
The witness described the entity as approximately 6 feet 7 inches tall, extremely thin with a dark gray or black coloration. It possessed unusual anatomical features including pointed joints that protruded outward. After the driver passed the figure, he observed in his rearview mirror that it had stood up and began moving toward the roadside woods with an abnormal gait.
Approximately two minutes later, after the witness stopped his vehicle, an elderly couple in their 60s or 70s approached from the opposite direction. They executed what appeared to be an evasive maneuver at the sighting location before turning around to speak with the original witness. Both independently confirmed they had seen the same non-human figure, describing it as definitely not a person.
