Tomball TX: Hovering Disc Over Residence, Rotating Lights, Plant Damage
At approximately 21:50 on 1 November 2009, a nineteen-year-old witness at her family home in Tomball, Harris County, Texas heard a loud rocket-like sound that prompted her to go outside. She observed a disc-shaped craft approximately six meters in diameter and two meters tall, hovering at low altitude over the southwest corner of the backyard.
The object had a convex upper surface with raised panels and a slightly convex lower surface of dark metallic finish. A ring of rotating lights β predominantly yellow and blue β encircled the craft at its midline. The witness watched for approximately ten seconds before retreating indoors.
MUFON investigators arriving the following day documented physical trace evidence: a Duranta plant beneath the hover position showed burned leaves and berry tips, while surrounding vegetation exhibited stress signs without burns. A radiation detector showed no elevated readings. A separate independent witness on Interstate 35 near Georgetown reported a large circular object with multi-colored rotating lights on the same night.
Background
In 2009, in Tomball, Texas, a witness reported a disc-shaped craft hovering at low altitude directly over their residence, featuring rotating lights and remaining stationary for an extended observation period. After the encounter, physical damage to plants in the immediate area was documented.
The Incident
The witness observed the disc-shaped craft hovering directly over their residence at low altitude.
It featured rotating lights and stayed stationary during the extended observation.
Physical Effects
Physical damage to plants was documented in the immediate area after the encounter.
Investigation
The case was collected by BAASS/AAWSAP investigators.
It represents one of the program's documented cases involving both close-proximity UAP observation and environmental physical effects.
