On February 29, 2012, at approximately 6:40 a.m. EST, a woman encountered a bizarre entity while having coffee outside on her elevated deck. The structure was situated more than twelve feet above ground level at the rear of her residence. She observed a six-foot-tall, solid black mass with human shape leaning on the railing, initially facing toward a field.
The being turned to look at the witness and began moving backwards with cat-like stalking motions, appearing to float slowly across the wooden surface. It briefly disappeared behind the house, then returned to peek around the corner with half its body visible. The entity dragged its hand across the wood before vanishing completely, leaving no physical traces.
The witness reported conflicting emotional responses, initially experiencing a calm sensation and even guilt for interrupting the creature's peaceful morning. However, during the final glance, she perceived an unspoken threatening message. Following the incident, the woman developed severe anxiety about being outdoors alone after dark and ceased her morning deck routine.
