Background
On January 21, 2015, the Archivist of the United States formally signed the Department of Defense Visual Information Records Schedule DAA-0330-2013-0014. This new schedule rendered obsolete and rescinded three previous instructions including DoD 5040.6-M-1 and 5040.6-M-2, which had established protocols for handling potential UFO photography. The Defense Imagery Management Operations Center announced that all previous visual information instructions were now superseded by this records schedule. This administrative action completed the elimination of specific regulatory frameworks for managing anomalous aerial imagery within Pentagon documentation systems. Via TheBlackVault.com (FOIA).
