The Black Vault Obtains NRC UFO Files via FOIA
The Black Vault received 43 pages of NRC documents revealing previously unreported UFO activity at nuclear installations, requested in February 2017.
Background
Following a Freedom of Information Act request submitted on February 27, 2017, the research organization received a document cache from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. The release contained forty-three pages of records including the previously unknown Cooper Nuclear Station sightings from the 1980s. These materials revealed details of triangular craft incursions into protected airspace that had remained outside public knowledge for decades. The disclosure represented a significant expansion of documented UFO incidents involving nuclear facilities.
