Background
On June 27, 2022, David Grusch sent an email to a DoD OIG staff member, copying Assistant Inspector General Randolph Stone. He requested that records from his July 12, 2021 interview with the OIG be made available to the Intelligence Community Inspector General via JWICS. Although Grusch referred to the "DNI IG," he likely meant the IC IG, which oversees the entire Intelligence Community. Stone forwarded the message to colleagues with a "FYSA" (For Your Situational Awareness) notation, indicating internal tracking of Grusch's efforts to escalate his documentation.
