Continental Airlines was an American commercial airline founded in 1937 and headquartered in Houston, Texas. As a civilian airline operator, it served as one of the largest U.S. carriers, operating domestic and international flights across North America, Latin America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific regions. The airline maintained three major hubs at Newark, Houston, and Cleveland airports with over 42,000 employees by 2009. Continental merged with United Airlines in 2010, completing the acquisition on October 1, 2010. There is no documented connection between Continental Airlines and UAP/UFO research or government aerospace programs.
