Honolulu Police Department

The Honolulu Police Department (HPD), founded in 1932, is a government law enforcement agency in the United States (Hawaii). Primarily focused on crime prevention, investigation, and public safety, HPD has incidentally intersected with UAP/UFO matters. In 2012, HPD received multiple 911 calls about a large bright blue object crashing silently into the ocean near Nanakuli, Oahu, prompting them to report it to the FAA as a possible downed aircraft, though no such incident was confirmed. HPD dispatchers have shared personal encounters with unexplained paranormal phenomena, including apparitions of a ghostly figure known as 'Sweetie' and a footless woman in period clothing.
