Nimitz Operational Intelligence Center
The Nimitz Operational Intelligence Center (NOIC) is a U.S. Navy government facility associated with the USS Nimitz Carrier Strike Group (CSG-11), responsible for operational intelligence during naval deployments. Established as part of standard Navy intelligence infrastructure, likely in the late 20th century, it operates from shore bases or carrier groups in the United States. Key activities include radar data analysis, threat assessment, and coordination of air intercepts. It gained prominence in November 2004 off Southern California, where NOIC personnel on the USS Princeton tracked multiple anomalous aerial vehicles (AAVs) descending rapidly from 80,000 feet, defying known physics, prompting F/A-18 dispatches and the historic 'Tic Tac' encounter witnessed by pilots like David Fravor and Chad Underwood. This contributed to Pentagon UAP investigations via AATIP. Currently active in Navy intelligence operations amid ongoing UAP reporting.
