Northrop-Grumman
Northrop Grumman Corporation is an American multinational aerospace and defence technology company, formed in 1994 through the merger of Northrop Corporation and Grumman Aerospace. Headquartered in Falls Church, Virginia, it is one of the world's largest weapons manufacturers and military technology providers. Major programmes include the B-2 Spirit and B-21 Raider strategic bombers, the E-2D Hawkeye, and the Global Hawk UAV.
UAP-Related Context
Northrop Grumman appears in UAP discussions for several reasons. First, as the prime contractor for advanced flying-wing designs, many historical UAP sightings of triangular and delta-shaped craft have been retrospectively attributed to Northrop programmes, including the B-2 development phase (1980s) and the classified RQ-180 reconnaissance UAV. Second, Northrop absorbed TRW (which had acquired BDM International, the company associated with the Pentagon's Advanced Theoretical Physics Group in the 1980s), giving it institutional lineage to earlier UAP-related programmes.
Whistleblower Claims
Northrop Grumman is named in David Grusch's 2023 Congressional testimony among major defence contractors allegedly involved in legacy UAP material-analysis programmes. The company has publicly denied involvement. Its institutional scale and classified-programme portfolio keep it a recurring reference in US disclosure discussion.
