UFO Magazine
UFO Magazine refers to two distinct civilian publications dedicated to UFOs and related phenomena. The UK version, founded in 1981 by brothers Graham and Mark Birdsall in Leeds, Yorkshire, achieved international acclaim in ufology with a peak circulation of 35,000, focusing on UFO sightings and extraterrestrial life. It ceased publication in March 2004 after Graham Birdsall's death in 2003. The US version, founded in 1986 by Vicki Ecker and Sherie Stark in Los Angeles, covered major UFO stories including Roswell, Gulf Breeze, Soviet spacecraft encounters, and Apollo astronaut accounts. Published by Bill Birnes later, it ran for 158 issues until early 2012, recognized as a primary English-language UFO periodical despite occasional criticism for fabricated stories. Neither had direct ties to government programs. Both are defunct.
