The United States Senate is one of two chambers of the U.S. Congress, the legislative branch of the federal government, established in 1789. As a governmental body, the Senate has conducted bipartisan investigations into Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) and UFOs since at least 2022, holding multiple hearings through 2024 to examine national security implications and government transparency. Senate committees, including the Intelligence Committee, have received testimony from officials and former intelligence officers regarding UAP sightings, recovery programs, and classified government initiatives. The Senate has also mandated intelligence assessments on UAP threats and supported the development of centralized UAP record-keeping systems through the National Archives.
