USS Omaha
The USS Omaha is a United States Navy Independence-class littoral combat ship (LCS-10), commissioned in 2017. As a government military vessel operating under the U.S. Department of Defense, it gained prominence in UAP/UFO research due to a key 2019 incident off San Diego, California. On July 15, crew recorded infrared footage via the AN/KAX-2 sensor of a spherical UAP rapidly moving over the Pacific Ocean before descending into the water without splash, suggestive of transmedium capability. This 'transmedium object' video, part of the Pentagon UFO videos, was reviewed by the UAP Task Force and featured in the 2021 ODNI UAP report, highlighting anomalous flight traits like high speed and submersion. It underscores Navy contributions to government UAP investigations amid global patterns. The ship remains active in naval service.
