Albert Pennisi
Albert Pennisi is an Australian sugarcane farmer from Tully, Queensland, whose family property became central to one of Australia's most famous UFO incidents. In January 1966, banana farmer George Pedley reported seeing a flying saucer descend into a lagoon on the Pennisi farm, leaving behind a large, swirling 'saucer nest' in the reeds—a flattened circular depression about 9 meters wide. This event drew national attention, hundreds of visitors including UFO researchers and police, and sparked ongoing debate about UFO landings. Pennisi served as the original witness and landowner, sharing his account at the 2006 UFORQ 50th Anniversary UFO Conference in Brisbane alongside international experts. His family reportedly experienced dozens more mysterious nests over decades, the last around 2016, without additional UFO sightings, and suspected ASIO monitoring but kept quiet to avoid ridicule. No birth or death years are documented; he remains linked to Tully's UFO lore.
