Amir Siraj is a Harvard University astrophysicist and director of interstellar object studies at the Galileo Project, founded by Avi Loeb in 2021. A Goldwater Scholar and U.S. Presidential Scholar, Siraj co-leads research investigating extraterrestrial technology and unidentified aerial phenomena. He is co-discoverer of interstellar objects and has co-authored papers on the 2014 interstellar meteor candidate CNEOS 2014-01-08, which he and Loeb claimed was rare in composition and speed. Siraj has also published research on long-period comets as the cause of dinosaur extinction and the prevalence of interstellar objects in the Oort Cloud. His work bridges theoretical astrophysics with UAP investigation through the Galileo Project's sensor systems and data analysis.
