André Amond

A retired colonel of the Belgian Army and civil engineer, he served as Director of military infrastructure and had previously been responsible for environmental-impact issues at the Joint Staff level. On December 11, 1989, while driving with his wife near Liège, he experienced a close encounter with a triangular craft. He subsequently submitted a detailed report containing drawings to the Belgian Defense Minister, establishing himself as an important witness during the Belgian UFO wave of 1989–1990.
