Ben Lockspeiser
Sir Ben Lockspeiser (1898-1990) was a British aeronautical engineer and scientist, serving as Chief Scientist of the Ministry of Aircraft Production during World War II and later as Chairman of the Aeronautical Research Council. Post-war, in 1945, he led a British technical intelligence team, including W.J. Richards, Dr. S.H. Hollingdale, and Captain A.D. Green, investigating captured German advanced projects such as missiles, jet and turbine craft in underground Black Forest factories. This work related to Nazi 'foo fighter' UFO sightings and experimental turbine engines using liquid oxygen, as well as suction wings and high-speed fighter designs based on German scientists Prandtl and Busemann. Lockspeiser corresponded with UFO skeptic R.V. Jones on flying saucers and related phenomena in the 1960s-1970s. No direct UAP research or publications by him are documented.
