Pilot who witnessed a UFO alongside California Governor Ronald Reagan in 1974 near Bakersfield. Paynter later confirmed the sighting to the press, describing a bright light that elongated and 'went from a normal cruise speed to a fantastic speed instantly' before disappearing.
