Billy Ray Taylor
Billy Ray Taylor was a visitor to the Sutton farmhouse near Kelly, Kentucky, on 21 August 1955 and the first to see a bright object land in a nearby field — the trigger point of the later famous Kelly–Hopkinsville encounter. Although his account was initially dismissed by the family, small luminous creatures appeared at the farmhouse shortly afterwards.

For the UAP timeline, Taylor is the initial witness of one of the best-known close-encounter cases of American UFO history: his sighting is what made the subsequent "siege" a UFO event in the first place — without the landing the case would have remained merely a local shoot-out against supposed goblins.
