Billy Ray Taylor

Billy Ray Taylor was a visitor to the Sutton farmhouse near Kelly, Kentucky, who arrived at the property on August 21, 1955. He first reported seeing a bright object land in a nearby field, an observation that triggered the Kelly-Hopkinsville encounter. Although Taylor's report of the landing was initially dismissed by the family, his sighting initiated the events of the encounter. Shortly afterward, small luminous creatures appeared at the farmhouse, initiating a siege that lasted several hours and involved the entire household firing at the beings. Taylor played a pivotal role in reporting the initial sighting, as he was the first to claim observation of the bright object, which led to the family's confrontation with the creatures.
