Brennan McKernan

Brennan McKernan is a U.S. Navy intelligence analyst and former officer, educated at the U.S. Naval Academy (BSc, 1992-1996), serving as a Navy officer from 1992 to 2003 and in OPNAV Strategy and Policy since 2008. He directed the Pentagon's Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force (UAPTF), confirmed in April 2021, overseeing investigations into UAP sightings, including pyramid-shaped objects near USS Russell in 2019. In June 2021, McKernan briefed House Intelligence and Armed Services Committees alongside Scott Bray on UAP efforts to identify unexplained sightings in restricted airspace, highlighting potential advanced technologies. Previously, he spoke on threats from China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea at a 2019 Navy event. His leadership advanced U.S. government transparency on UAP as national security concerns.
