Chris Rutkowski
Chris Rutkowski is a Canadian science writer and educator with degrees in astronomy and science education. Since the mid-1970s, he has investigated UFO sightings, particularly in Manitoba, approaching the subject skeptically through a scientific lens. He has authored or co-authored ten books on UFOs, including Unnatural History (1993), Abductions and Aliens (1999), A World of UFOs (2008), The Big Book of UFOs (2010), and Canada's UFOs: Declassified (2021), which details cases probed by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, Royal Canadian Air Force, and National Research Council. Rutkowski co-authored When They Appeared (2017) with Stan Michalak on the Falcon Lake incident and publishes the annual Canadian UFO Survey with Geoff Dittman. A former president of the Winnipeg Centre of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada, his research appears in peer-reviewed journals. He consults for the Center for UFO Studies, Galileo Project, Scientific Coalition for UAP Studies, and others, and is a frequent media commentator on Canadian UFO phenomena.
