Cordell Hull (1871-1955) was an American statesman who served as U.S. Secretary of State from 1933 to 1944 under President Franklin D. Roosevelt, the longest tenure in U.S. history, and received the 1945 Nobel Peace Prize for his role in establishing the United Nations. Elected U.S. Senator from Tennessee (1931-1933), he chaired the Democratic National Committee. In UAP/UFO lore, Hull is linked to a 1939 incident where he allegedly showed his cousin, Reverend Turner Hamilton Holt, four small humanoid alien bodies, less than four feet tall, preserved in glass containers in a sub-basement of the U.S. Capitol, alongside disassembled silver metallic vehicle parts. This account, reported by Holt's daughter Lucile in 1999 to the Center for UFO Studies, lacks corroboration from Hull's memoirs or official records. No publications or testimony by Hull on UFOs exist.
