Cynthia Hind
Cynthia Hind (died August 21, 2000) was a Zimbabwean ufologist renowned as Africa's foremost UFO researcher. A resident of Zimbabwe after emigrating from England, where she served in the South African WAAF and married an RAF pilot, she joined MUFON in 1974 as Zimbabwe Representative and Field Investigator. Appointed Continental Coordinator for Africa in 1981, she held the role until her death. Hind edited UFO Afrinews newsletter from 1988 and published her seminal book UFOs - African Encounters in 1982, a milestone in African ufology. She contributed chapters to UFOs 1947-1987, Phenomenon, and The UFO Story 1990, and authored UFOs Over Africa (1996). Key investigations include the Ariel School UFO incident (1994) in Ruwa, Zimbabwe, where she interviewed over a dozen child witnesses to a landed craft and beings. Her meticulous casework, featured in MUFON UFO Journal, advanced global UAP research.
