Dan Wright

Dan Wright, born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, is an American UFO researcher who earned an M.A. in political affairs from the University of Illinois. After a career as a researcher and technical writer for the State of Michigan, he retired to Athens, Georgia. He joined the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) in 1978, serving on its staff and board of directors. As deputy director, he oversaw thousands of UFO investigations across North America. For five years, he led a MUFON project transcribing and analyzing regressive hypnosis sessions related to possible alien abductions. His key achievement is editing 'The CIA UFO Papers' (2020), a chronological compilation of 550 declassified CIA documents on UFOs from 1949 to 2000, providing historical context and analysis of government secrets and cover-ups.
