David Grinspoon
David H. Grinspoon, born December 21, 1959, in Boston, Massachusetts, is an American astrobiologist and planetary scientist. A Brown University alumnus (class of 1982), he is Senior Scientist for Astrobiology Strategy at NASA and Senior Scientist at the Planetary Science Institute. His research focuses on planetary atmospheres, climates, and habitability, with contributions to missions like Venus Express, Curiosity Rover, and DAVINCI to Venus in 2029. Key achievements include the 2006 Carl Sagan Medal and 2022 AAAS fellowship. Notable books: 'Venus Revealed' (L.A. Times finalist), 'Lonely Planets' (PEN award winner), 'Earth in Human Hands.'
