Don Ledger is a Canadian MUFON investigator renowned for his research on the Shag Harbour UFO incident of October 4, 1967, in Nova Scotia. Collaborating with Chris Styles, an eyewitness, Ledger conducted extensive interviews with original witnesses, including civilians and military personnel, uncovering compelling evidence of an unknown object crashing into the harbor waters. Their investigation revealed the object traveled underwater approximately 25 miles to Government Point near a submarine detection base, where it was tracked on sonar by naval vessels. A second UFO reportedly joined it, prompting a planned military salvage operation that was ultimately denied by officials. Ledger co-authored the seminal book 'Dark Object: The World's Only Government-Documented UFO Crash' (2001), detailing these events and challenging government cover-up claims. His work has significantly advanced UAP studies, highlighting one of the most documented UFO crashes.
