Dorothy Kilgallen (1913-1965) was an American journalist, crime reporter, and television personality known for her investigative work into the JFK assassination. She was one of the few reporters to secure private interviews with Jack Ruby and independently investigated the assassination, believing a larger conspiracy was involved. Kilgallen's column covered diverse topics including Broadway reviews, celebrity news, and UFO-related musings. She died in November 1965 from an accidental overdose of alcohol and barbiturates, before publishing her findings on the assassination.
