Dwight D. Eisenhower

Dwight D. Eisenhower was involved in a fake Majestic-12 briefing in 1952 and later linked to alien claims and a dental rumor in Palm Springs in 1954. According to the Dwight D. Eisenhower Library, a letter from Richard M. Bissell regarding Majestic 12 is among its holdings. A purported November 1952 briefing paper allegedly prepared for Eisenhower about Roswell-related matters was submitted to the Truman Library in the 1980s, but archivists were unable to locate it in their files and an Air Force investigation declared the document bogus. On February 20, 1954, Eisenhower was officially in Palm Springs, California, but a two-hour stretch that night when his whereabouts were unknown prompted speculation that he had secretly visited Edwards Air Force Base to view alien spacecraft wreckage or meet with aliens. Retired dentist James Mixson, a scholar of presidential dental history, debunked this claim, explaining that Eisenhower had chipped a crown while chewing a chicken wing and required an unscheduled dental visit.
