Ed Walters
Ed Walters (1941โ2021) was a building contractor from Gulf Breeze, Florida, who from November 1987 reported repeated UFO sightings and produced a series of widely noted photographs of objects over his property. These photographs formed the basis of the so-called Gulf Breeze UFO sightings โ one of the most contested modern ufology cases since a UFO model was found in his former home.
- Born 1941, died 2021
- Building contractor in Gulf Breeze, Florida
- Repeated UFO sightings over his property from November 1987 onward
- Photographed UFOs multiple times over his property
- Photographs as central evidence of the Gulf Breeze sightings
- A UFO model found in his former home โ the trigger of strong scepticism in the UFO research community
- The case remains one of the most contested in modern ufology
For the UAP timeline, Walters is the case prototype of a media-intense single-witness biography in which the evidence question itself becomes the core of the debate: his photographs split the UFO community into defenders and critics and make Gulf Breeze a textbook example of the limits of personal credibility in ufology.
