Eddie Apodaca
Eddie C. Apodaca was a New Mexico State Police officer of Hispanic descent, commissioned in January 1951 at age 27 after completing recruit training. He was stationed in Socorro County, near San Antonio, New Mexico. In UAP lore, Apodaca is depicted as a family friend summoned by Faustino Padilla to the alleged 1945 Trinity UFO crash site, where he reportedly entered a downed craft with Padilla. This narrative appears in Reme Baca's 2011 book Born on the Edge of Ground Zero and Jacques Vallee's Trinity: The Best-Kept Secret. However, investigations reveal he could not have participated: in August 1945, Apodaca served with his U.S. Army unit in Europe during World War II, debunking the story as fiction. No independent testimony or publications by Apodaca exist in UAP research.
