Fabio De Masi
Fabio De Masi, born 7 March 1980 in Groß-Gerau, Germany, is a German politician who serves as a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) and as co-chair of the Bündnis Sahra Wagenknecht (BSW) party. During the 8th parliamentary term from 2014 to 2017, he represented DIE LINKE in the European Parliament, serving on the ECON Committee and the PANA inquiry committee investigating the Panama Papers. He subsequently served as a member of the German Bundestag from 2017 to 2021, again representing DIE LINKE, where he became known for his work on financial crime, particularly concerning the Wirecard and CumEx scandals. De Masi returned to the European Parliament in July 2024 for the 10th parliamentary term, this time representing BSW, and assumed the position of co-chair of the party in December 2025.
In addition to his work on financial oversight, De Masi has distinguished himself as one of the first European parliamentarians to formally address Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) at the institutional level. He has filed multiple parliamentary questions to the European Commission regarding UAP, specifically E-001572/2025 concerning UAP in EU Space Law and E-002266/2025 regarding UAP flight safety and security implications. In 2025, he served as a speaker at the Sol Foundation Symposium in Lago Maggiore, where he called for the establishment of a European UAP policy. He was also featured in an interview with ExoMagazin in November 2025, advocating for a coordinated European investigation into UAP.
