Forrest Perkins
Forrest Perkins was a Technical Sergeant in the United States Air Force who served as Watch Supervisor in the Lakenheath Radar Air Traffic Control centre during the Lakenheath-Bentwaters incident of August 13, 1956. He provided detailed testimony about the final phase of this significant UFO sighting, describing how two RAF De Havilland Venom interceptor aircraft were directed toward a radar target near Lakenheath. Perkins wrote directly to the Condon Committee in 1968, documenting his observations of the incident, including the apparent pursuit of one Venom jet by an unidentified object for approximately ten minutes. His account remains a key primary source in UFO research literature and has been analyzed by the Condon Committee and atmospheric physicist James E. McDonald.
