François Delpeuch
François Delpeuch is a French national known as a primary witness in the 1967 Cussac UFO close encounter case. On August 29, 1967, at age 13, he and his 9-year-old sister Anne-Marie were herding cattle near Cussac, France, when they observed four small, black, shiny humanoids, about 1.2 meters tall with pointed heads and elongated limbs, near a 2-meter glowing sphere. The beings appeared to examine the ground before diving headfirst into the sphere, which then spiraled upward to 15 meters, emitting a whistling sound, intensifying light, and a sulfurous odor. The case drew investigation by GEPAN, France's official government UFO study program, in 1978 under Dr. Claude Poher. Investigators Joel Mothay and Claude Popelair used rigorous separate interviews and site reenactments, confirming the siblings' consistent, uncoordinated accounts without fabrication. Birth and death years are unknown; no publications or further UAP roles noted.
