Frederick Reines
Frederick Reines (1918-1998) was an American physicist renowned for co-discovering the neutrino in 1956 with Clyde Cowan at Los Alamos National Laboratory, earning the 1995 Nobel Prize in Physics. Born in Paterson, New Jersey, he worked on the Manhattan Project from 1944, contributing to nuclear weapons research in Richard Feynman's group. His career included leadership as Physics Department Chair at Case Western Reserve University (1959-1966) and founding dean at UC Irvine. Reines pioneered neutrino astronomy, detecting atmospheric and supernova neutrinos in underground labs. No documented involvement exists in UAP/UFO research, military/government UFO programs, or related fields; his expertise focused on particle physics and nuclear studies.
