Gerald Anderson
Gerald Anderson (1942–unknown) was an American witness to the 1947 Roswell UFO incident in New Mexico. At age five, Anderson claimed to have encountered a crashed extraterrestrial craft and its occupants near Roswell in July 1947, shortly after his family relocated from Indiana. After 43 years of silence, Anderson publicly shared his account in the 1990s, becoming a significant witness in UFO research circles. Nuclear physicist Stanton Friedman, a prominent UFO researcher, described Anderson as 'potentially the most important' witness to the alleged crash. Anderson underwent extensive interviews and hypnosis sessions conducted by researcher William Carpenter at Friedman's request, with Friedman characterizing the results as 'powerful stuff.' Anderson's testimony has remained controversial within UFO research communities, with some researchers viewing him as credible while others have questioned the accuracy of his recollections.
