Glenn Dennis (1925-2015) was an American mortician based in Roswell, New Mexico, who became a central figure in UFO lore due to his claims surrounding the 1947 Roswell incident. Working as an apprentice at Ballard Funeral Home, which held a contract with Roswell Army Air Field, Dennis alleged receiving calls from the base inquiring about small, hermetically sealed caskets and child-sized coffins for preserving bodies. He further claimed a nurse friend described witnessing an alien autopsy, including injured extraterrestrial beings with unique features. In 1989, UFO researcher Stanton Friedman interviewed him, publicizing his account endorsed by ufologists like Don Berliner, Kevin Randle, and Schmitt, dubbing Dennis the 'star witness.' His story featured in Unsolved Mysteries (1989), the TV movie Roswell (1994), and books such as Crash at Corona (1992) and The Truth About the UFO Crash at Roswell (1994). In 1991, he co-founded the International UFO Museum and Research Center in Roswell with Walter Haut and Max Littell. Despite skepticism over inconsistencies, Dennis upheld his testimony until his death at age 90.
