Howard Blum
Howard Blum (born 1948) is an American author and journalist who served as a reporter for The New York Times and The Village Voice, and is a contributing editor at Vanity Fair. He is best known for his 1990 book 'Out There: The Government's Secret Quest for Extraterrestrials,' which investigates the U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency's secret UFO Working Group established in 1987. Through extensive research involving 212 interviews and approximately 200 published sources, Blum documented decades of government involvement in UFO investigations, though he ultimately found no definitive proof of extraterrestrial contact. His work represents a significant journalistic examination of classified government UFO programs and their historical context.
