Jessica Utts is an American statistician and professor emerita at the University of California, Irvine, known for her statistical analysis of paranormal phenomena and remote viewing research. She gained prominence in 1995 when she prepared a report for Congress and the American Institutes on Research evaluating the classified Stargate Project, concluding that psychic functioning had been demonstrated and warranted further study. Utts has published extensively on parapsychological research, applying rigorous statistical methods to phenomena including extrasensory perception, telepathy, and precognition. She served as the 111th president of the American Statistical Association in 2016.
