José Parra
José Parra was an 18-year-old Venezuelan jockey involved in a notable close encounter of the third kind on December 19, 1954, in Valencia, Carabobo, Venezuela. While running exercises near a local cement factory at around 11:00 p.m., he reportedly observed six small humanoid beings loading boulders from the roadside into a disc-shaped craft hovering 3 meters above the ground. Attempting to flee, Parra was paralyzed by a violet or purple beam emitted from a device wielded by one of the entities. The beings then boarded the craft, which departed. Footprints described as neither human nor animal were found at the site. This incident has been documented in prominent UFO catalogs, including Jacques Vallée's UFO landings catalogue (citing Lor. I 52) and Otto Binder's accounts (via APRO Bulletin 1/55). No birth or death years beyond his age at the time are known, and Parra provided no further publications or testimony in UAP research.
