Ozires Silva
Ozires Silva was a Brazilian Air Force Colonel with extensive aviation experience who later also served as president of the state-owned oil company Petrobrás and held senior positions in Brazil's aerospace and energy sectors. On 19 May 1986 — during Brazil's most significant UFO incident, the so-called "Official UFO Night" — he piloted an EMB 121 Xingu executive jet on his way back from a meeting with President José Sarney and pursued bright red-orange unidentified objects for roughly 25 minutes.

For the UAP timeline, Silva is a central element of the 1986 Brazilian "Official UFO Night" — as the pilot of a government flight directly after a presidential meeting, he links military aviation expertise with political top-level circles. His observation remains part of one of the best-documented state-confirmed UFO nights worldwide.
