Reuben Efron
Reuben Ezra Efron (1911-1993) was a Lithuanian-born American lawyer, CIA counter-intelligence officer, and multilingual expert fluent in Russian, German, Lithuanian, Hebrew, and Yiddish. He immigrated to the US via Cuba in 1939 and served as a WWII US Air Force translator. In October 1955, while interpreting for US Senator Richard Russell and Lt. Col. E.U. Hathaway on a Soviet train journey, Efron witnessed two saucer-shaped UFOs taking off vertically, emitting sparks, as detailed in a CIA report describing them as 'unconventional aircraft.' Observers were deemed reliable, though skeptics suggested Soviet jets. Efron later monitored Lee Harvey Oswald's mail pre-JFK assassination and assisted in Warren Commission interviews with Marina Oswald. No known publications or formal testimony on UAPs exist; his UFO link emerged from 2023 declassified JFK files.
