Robert B. Willingham

Robert B. Willingham was an American Air Force pilot and decorated veteran of World War II and the Korean War. In 1955, while flying an F-86 fighter jet over West Texas, he witnessed a fast-moving UFO traveling at approximately 2,000 mph, executing a sharp 90-degree turn, and crashing near Del Rio on the Texas-Mexico border. He pursued the object, observed its descent, and later visited the site, seeing a large silver craft embedded in a hill. Willingham detailed this encounter in his 2008 book 'The Other Roswell: UFO Crash on the Texas-Mexico Border,' co-authored with Noe Torres, providing eyewitness testimony comparable to the 1947 Roswell incident. At age 82 during the book's release, he contributed significantly to UFO crash retrieval narratives. Some researchers have questioned the exact date of the event.
